Blood, Sweat, and Tears

We’ve been pretty quiet for the past few months. There is a good reason for that, part of which you will see right here. Towards the later months of 2012 we acquired the house I (Thad) grew up in. The house was built in the 1840s and my mom and dad purchased the house in the late 70s. My father is a historian and I grew up restoring log cabins, post & beam homes, and collecting antiques with him. Restoration has always been a love of mine and it was a dream to be able to restore the home I grew up in for myself and my family. We’ve put an immense amount of work into making this home into something we are proud of and I can wholeheartedly say that we have accomplished just that.

We couldn’t have come so far without the support of our family and friends who have supported and assisted us all along the way. Nearly all of our closest friend and family have helped us create a home for ourselves and we couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative of their support and love.

Here is a look at a small portion of the work we have done. There is so much more work than meets the eye and a lost of work that we aren’t showing. We’ve come a long ways and we still have a long way to go, but we have so much to enjoy now that we are here!
