Talk about awesome! We had the best time with these two who treated us to an amazing visit to the beautiful Biltmore Estate in Asheville. The four of us spent the entire day exploring the estate and goofing off whenever we had a chance. We saw everything from baby goats to bright yellow canola fields… not to mention America’s largest home. We are beyond pumped for their wedding this December in the Dominican!
We’ve been pretty quiet for the past few months. There is a good reason for that, part of which you will see right here. Towards the later months of 2012 we acquired the house I (Thad) grew up in. The house was built in the 1840s and my mom and dad purchased the house in the late 70s. My father is a historian and I grew up restoring log cabins, post & beam homes, and collecting antiques with him. Restoration has always been a love of mine and it was a dream to be able to restore the home I grew up in for myself and my family. We’ve put an immense amount of work into making this home into something we are proud of and I can wholeheartedly say that we have accomplished just that.
We couldn’t have come so far without the support of our family and friends who have supported and assisted us all along the way. Nearly all of our closest friend and family have helped us create a home for ourselves and we couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative of their support and love.
Here is a look at a small portion of the work we have done. There is so much more work than meets the eye and a lost of work that we aren’t showing. We’ve come a long ways and we still have a long way to go, but we have so much to enjoy now that we are here!
The wedding you see below was our last of 2012 and was quite easily one of the year’s best. Charlotte and Tony are some of the nicest and classiest people you’ll ever meet. We felt right at home with them and their family and couldn’t have had more fun with them if we wanted too. Every detail about their wedding day was absolutely perfect and it’s rare to see a wedding that flows so effortlessly. We couldn’t have been more honored to have been a part of their wedding day and are so excited for their future together!
Elizabeth and Juan are quite possibly the most unique couple you will ever meet. Not only that, but they are such a thoughtful and caring pair who love to take care of everyone around them… and that includes making sure everyone have a great time at their wedding! Their 80′s Prom themed wedding was spectacular and had all the details you would expect at a real prom. Guests even came dressed accordingly and were able to get their formal prom picture at one of their 2 photo booths. Balloons, corsages, prom king & queen, hot sauce, and lots of dancing made for a one of a kind evening. Speaking of dancing, E&J’s first dance was easily the best we’ve ever seen. It makes things easy when the groom is a dance instructor. We’re so excited for these 2 and are so thankful to have been a part of their amazing wedding!
